2011 - My second year of blogging in Brittany

I felt I would like to share some of the photographs I have taken so far this year and some from other years. I live in a beautiful part of Brittany and just love being here. It's a lovely place to photograph and enjoy being in through all the seasons and hopefully this blog will show you where I live my life.

Family visiting for their summer break

No post for a while now because my daughter, her son and her partner were here for their summer break.    I collected them from Roscoff and followed this motorbike part way into the departure area - couldn't resist the numberplate.  I was about an hour early and went to see the beach at Carantec and then into Roscoff for a snack while the boat came in.

We went out and about and the weather was kind most of the time.  I was impressed with the adventure parks we visited and the beach at Lac de Guerledan was lovely in the sunshine.  Charlie is always happy in the water wherever it is.

The table football with people taking part was good fun too.

Intrepid wire riders - Gareth across the lake and Charlie.

Back at home Charlie enjoyed the pool and spent many hours in the hot tub.

I found that I had boundless energy and was able to do everything without feeling exhausted due to my huge weight loss.  I am now only a few pounds off having lost half my weight.

One Friday evening after spending time at Lac de Guerledan, we ended up in Mur de Bretagne for the market where there was Breton dancing and, in the background, people abseiling down the church tower.

Eating featured quite heavily during their break

In the mornings Charlie and I fed the animals, picked veggies

and did model building and painting.  It was his first visit here since I'd got Harry, my new cat.

He also podded the last of the broad beans for me and beautifully arranged the beans so they would dry for next year's seeds.

Three things I like:

1.   Seeing how much Charlie has grown up and hearing his conversations in the morning.
2.   Being able to do things with my new slimmer body that I couldn't do before.
3.   Relaxing in the sunshine and catching up on reading.
